Venus Viva™ and NanoFractional Radio Frequency with SmartScan™

As promised, this week we’re going to look at the wonderful world of NanoFractional Radio Frequency (RF) with SmartScan™.

For many of us in the industry, one of the most common complaints from our patients is problems with the appearance of their skin. Some people have acne scars, traumatic scars, or deep wrinkles that they’d like to tackle, whereas others have tried every treatment under the sun for their rosacea or enlarged pores.

Thanks to the NanoFractional RF with SmartScan™ technology from Venus Concept, we can completely resurface the skin and do it in a way that causes minimal damage and downtime.

So, how does it work?

Let’s delve into the science. SmartScan™ uses a unique algorithm and technology that enables the operator to generate customied patterns for greater flexibility and control during the treatment.

Thanks to the tip being one of the largest spot sizes in the industry, it can deliver up to 700 pulses of RF energy via small, needle-shaped pins. Energy is distributed through small footprint per pin (160 x 38 µm²) at variable energy densities in a single tip, meaning quicker and more efficient results.

Being a fractional treatment, sufficient intact tissue is left in between the tips allowing the wounds to heal faster, uniform post-treatment tissue appearance and low downtime.
