Sclerotherapy or Thread Vein Treatment
The permanent removal of thread veins through sclerotherapy involves the injection of a sclerosing agent, applied with a tiny needle to superficial thread veins of the legs.
The sclerosing agent has an irritant effect on the lining of the veins causing them to diminish and be absorbed by the body’s natural mechanisms.
This process takes around 40 minutes per session. It usually requires 2-3 treatments, but varies depending on the individual patient.
