Cryotherapy
Consider our Cryotherapy when you want to treat skin lesions
For those that have not heard of Cryotherapy, also known as cold surgery, it’s a simple procedure in which skin lesions are frozen off by using nitrous oxide. The N20 destroys the skin tissue by freezing the intercellular fluid which forms ice shards and crystals that destroy the cells.
At Fabelle Aesthetics we use the Cryopen to perform cold therapy with disposable cartridges of N20 to deliver quick, effective Cryotherapy treatments to benign skin lesions.
What can we treat?
Cryotherapy can treat the following:
- Age Spots
- Sunspots
- Liver Spots
- Skin Tags
- Seborrheic keratosis
- Milia
- Cherry angiomas
What does the procedure entail?
Depending on the lesion, we’ll work anywhere from 1-30 seconds at freezing the lesion. After the treatment, you can carry on with your day as normal as no anaesthetic is required, meaning no downtime is necessary.
In the days that follow, a blister will develop and then a scab will form over the lesion. Healing is dependent on how deep the wound is, but typically healing can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks.
